Directions:
The Laguna Seca Recreation Area is located between the coastal and picturesque Monterey Peninsula and the Salinas Valley; famous as “Steinbeck Country”. The festival’s main entrance (onto Laguna Seca) is located at the intersection of Canyon del Rey Rd. and General Jim Moore Blvd., Monterey, CA., 93940 (for online mapping purposes). The Laguna Seca entry off highway 68 is NOT the event’s main entrance.
Driving North on Hwy 101 (from Southern Calif.)
Take Monterey Peninsula/Sanborn Rd exit. Turn right (west) on Sanborn Rd and travel about 2.2 miles to Hwy 68. Turn left (west) on Hwy 68 and go almost 13 miles to Hwy 218. Turn right on Hwy 218 (Canyon del Rey Rd) and travel about .8 miles to General Jim Moore Blvd (watch your odometer carefully as this road is not clearly marked-it is a stoplight with a street sign; however, the print is extremely small). Turn right on Gen Jim Moore Blvd and make first right on South Boundary Rd. Travel 4.5 miles to Laguna Seca.
Driving South on Hwy 101 ( North, the Bay Area, Hwy. 152-Central Valley)
In Prunedale take Hwy 156 exit West/Monterey Peninsula exit to Hwy 1. Take Hwy 1 South then follow Hwy 1 directions below.
Driving North or South on Hwy 1
Take Hwy 218 (Seaside/Del Rey Oaks) Exit 403. Travel south on Hwy 218 (Canyon del Rey Rd) for approx. 2 miles to General Jim Moore Blvd. Turn left on General Jim Moore Blvd. Make first right on South Boundary Rd. Travel 4.5 to Laguna Seca.
Visit Monterey
Before or after Spirit West Coast, you’ll find a variety of activities to enjoy; play a round of golf, browse through art galleries; sail the bay and scuba dive; visit Fisherman’s Wharf and the historic Cannery Row; see the world renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. Visit the Victorian homes and country inns of Pacific Grove or the quaint European village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. There you’ll also find the Carmel Mission, founded in 1770.
